Join Renee and Chad for their 12th annual group cruise exploring Bermuda on Royal Caribbean’s mega ship Explorer of the Seas!  We depart Saturday June 18, 2011 for a five night cruise from the convenient east coast port of Cape Liberty in Bayonne, New Jersey.  We’ll spend two full days at King’s Wharf, Bermuda along with two fantastic days at sea allowing enough time to soak up the beauty of Bermuda as well as all the endless possibilities onboard our amazing super liner.

OUR SHIP…
We’re cruising Royal Caribbean’s Explorer of the Seas… a 138,000 ton mega ship built in 2000 and dubbed one of the largest afloat!  The Explorer of the Seas boasts extraordinary shipboard amenities like an ice skating rink (with special ice show performance!), rock climbing wall, in-line skating, 9-hole miniature golf course, full size basketball court, multiple pools, Royal Promenade (with parade), Johnny Rockets 50’s style restaurant (Chad’s Favorite), Portofino Italian Restaurant, Themed bars and lounges, casino, golf simulators, Adventure Ocean youth facilities, spa & fitness center and much, much more! The ship is a destination in itself!

DEPARTING CAPE LIBERTY…
Departing from the east coast may mean easy driving to meet the ship (pier parking available @ $19 a day) and you can choose a pier side hotel or decide to stay in the glitz and glamour of New York City pre or post cruise (Cape Liberty is just 7 miles from NYC!) If arriving by plane both La Guardia & Newark Airports are close; with Newark most convenient with less taxi fare.  (approximate fare from Newark is $30 with about 15 minute ride & LaGuardia $70 + tolls & about 70 minute ride).

OUR PORT OF CALL…
Nearly 600 miles from the North Carolina coast, Bermuda is a British island known for pink-sand beaches, pastel painted houses, brilliantly colored gardens, shopping, historical highlights and world class golf.  Although docked in the Naval Dockyard of Kings Wharf, you can explore Hamilton and St. George’s.  Optional tours include exploring caves, deep sea fishing, snorkeling, horse-drawn-carriage rides, island tours, kayaking adventures, a lazy day at a pink sand beach and more!  Since Bermuda is a seasonal destination & not a typical tropical island (follows NC weather) we chose to travel in June for warmer water and air temperatures!

THE HOSTED GROUP DIFFERENCE…
Joining a Cruisin’ With Mr. Mittens group you not only meet and cruise with Chad and Renee, but also meet others in the Mr. Mittens' Cruises family which usually means friendships for life!  Renee and Chad provide an abundance of pre cruise information, so you’re well-prepared and since they’re onboard with you, they’re happy to assist with any onboard needs.  There are also special “group only” onboard functions (like our popular secrets game & cocktail party!) and special group gift and extras.  For those living in the Pittsburgh area, there’s also Renee and Chad’s signature document party (always a fun time!)  Of course if you can’t make the party your special group folder is mailed to you!

DINING CHOICES
Royal Caribbean offers three dining choices.  Early Seating at 6 p.m. OR Late Seating at 8 p.m. OR My Time Dining where you can dine at your assigned dining room anytime between 6-9:30 p.m.  With early or late seating you are assigned a time, table and waiter and dine at the same time with the same people and the same waiter each night.  With My Time Dining you can show up at your assigned dining room anytime during the designated hours and be seated with just your party or others.  You will not have the same table or waiter.  The same main dining menu is provided for any of the dining choices.  The only difference with My Time Dining is you must pre pay onboard gratuities with your final cruise payment prior to the cruise.  The pre paid gratuities are $48.75 per person (regardless of age).  This amount is the same charged onboard for early and late diners, but is required pre payment for My Time diners.  The gratuity covers everyone onboard you would tip; cabin steward and dining staff.
